THE FLAVOR DESIGN®︎のルーツであるINCENSE。
当時、珍しくて高価であったインセンスを独学で研究を重ね、よりリアルを求めるために世界中を周りました。そこで得たエッセンスを落とし込んだ香りを使用し、ニューヨークでポップアップを開催しました。
私たちのブランドは今年で10周年となります。創業当時、ニューヨークで行ったポップアップ。先日、再度ニューヨークへ出向きこの街の自由な雰囲気に更にインスパイアされました。
この度、THE FLAVOR DESIGN®︎のルーツであるINCENSEのパッケージがリニューアルとなります。開封部分は、カンガルージップ付きの開封性の優れた包装へ変更となり、THE FLAVOR DESIGN®︎のブランドイメージのカラーリング、デザインとなります。遮光性に優れているアルミジップ。インセンス保存のポイントはいかに鮮度を保つかが重要になります。酸化を防ぎ、紫外線をカットすることで長期保存に適しています。
自社FACTORYで大量生産を目的とせず、熟練の職人技で製作されたINCENSEはハンドワークに拘り続けています。バンブーの芯は一つ一つを限界の細さに裂き、火で燻したスティック。絶妙な圧縮で煙の量を少なくし、火の通りを遅らせる事で長さ14cmで燃焼時間約50～55分前後の燃焼時間をお楽しみいただけます。ディスプレイやプレゼントとしては勿論、フェスやキャンプにも持ち運びにも適したインセンスです。
はっきりとした香りが出る「煙の香水」と評判の高いアイテムになります。
INCENSE — The Root of THE FLAVOR DESIGN®︎
At a time when incense was rare and expensive in Japan, we began studying it independently, driven by curiosity and a desire for something more real. Our journey took us across the globe in search of inspiration, and the scents we discovered became the essence of our creations. Using these original fragrances, we hosted our very first pop-up in New York.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of THE FLAVOR DESIGN®︎. Recalling that first pop-up in New York, we recently returned to the city and were once again inspired by its open-minded, creative spirit.
Now, our iconic incense—the very origin of our brand—has been reborn with updated packaging. The opening now features a kangaroo-style zip for enhanced usability, designed in THE FLAVOR DESIGN®︎’s signature color palette and aesthetic. The aluminum zip pouch offers excellent light protection, helping preserve freshness by shielding the incense from oxidation and UV rays—essential for long-term storage.
Crafted in our own factory with no intention of mass production, our incense stays true to meticulous handwork and artisan skill. Each bamboo core is split by hand to the thinnest possible size, then smoked over fire to create the stick. Through precisely controlled compression, smoke is reduced and burn time is extended. Each 14 cm stick burns for approximately 50–55 minutes.
Not only perfect as a thoughtful display or gift, this incense is also ideal for outdoor use—at festivals or camping.
Praised as a “perfume in smoke,” its clear, expressive scent has become a beloved signature item.
